Milford Sound

After the last post we went to bed, and were soon awoken by more thunder and lightening. It seems to be following us around. The following morning the power was gone, so we had breakfast by candlelight, and then hopped back on to Maxine, the bus.
We then drove to Milford Sound, with a few very scenic stops along the way. I'm sure you have heard it before, but New Zealand is a breath-takingly beautiful country, and I really love being here. There is so little else to say, and pictures don't do anything near justice to the beauty of the country.
The healthiest pick and mix shop ever! Fresh fruit store - I got mostly yummy cherries!

The weather cleared up during the day, and it was fairly sunny by the time we got to Milford Sound, where we got on the boat, for an overnight cruise. Milford Sound is a fiord, carved by glaciers. It was very impressive, and the cruise was very enjoyable.
We have arrive in Queenstown today, and are here for the next few days. It's a much nicer city than I was expecting, and much smaller. It's on the banks of a lake, and surrounded by mountains.
